A rooster that spews gold
Once upon a time, there were many Kirat kings in the Arun Valley. Such kings were called Apungi kings. All Apungi kings had small kingdoms. Even kings were poor when the kingdoms of such kingdoms did not pay their dues. The desire to be the king of a prosperous and big country had made everyone ambitious. So one king was attacking another king's kingdom and there was always fighting and quarreling. Disturbed by this, a Kirat king Arun went to Paruhang to ask for a way to bring peace to the valley. He narrated all the discrepancies and differences between the Kirat kings. Paruhang thought of solving the problem of the Kirat kings.
He gave the king a golden rooster and a golden pearl. "It will solve your problem," Paruhang said. The king was happy and returned to the palace carrying a rooster in a golden pergola. The next morning, when the sun came up, the rooster crowed. The rooster also spewed a lump of gold out of its mouth, just as the sun rose in the morning. The king was shocked to find such a golden rooster. He used to take care of the chickens himself and take care of the donations. Within a few days, all the rooms of the palace were filled with gold nuggets. Now the king began to distribute the gold nuggets to his raiti in turn. All the people of the kingdom became rich and happy. The statement of that state spread all over.
One morning the king was driving the rooster out of Perungo. The rooster did not grow gold out of Perungo. So the king himself was taking it out. It is not a captive bird, but it flew to the forest. The king hurriedly mobilized the entire army to capture it. Following the rooster, the general reached the forest but no one noticed. The rooster disappeared in the forest. The king was very worried because the rooster was missing. The next day he called all the officials. He asked how he could find the golden rooster. The princes gave many advices to the king, but the king did not understand. The king himself thought of a plan. He ordered everywhere, "Whoever finds the missing rooster and brings it within seven days will be made the commander of the country."
The order of the Himal Raja, north of the Arun Valley, immediately spread throughout the country. Three men appeared before the king in search of a rooster to become the country's commander. Calling one of the three, the king asked, "Where are you going to find the golden rooster?"
The king called the second man and asked, "Where are you going?" The second man said, “I am going to the thin forest of Chichila. He must have been hiding in a thin forest. It is not a chicken, it can live covered with moths. I will arrest him and bring him back. ” Similarly, the king asked the third person. He said, "I am going to Khuwalung (around Saptakoshi and Varaha areas). The rooster should be hidden in the groove. I will search there. "
All three went their separate ways. The man who reached Manghalung Himal was strong and courageous. He saw a rooster in the gorge of Mankhalung Himal. He used nets, ropes, etc. to catch the rooster but could not catch it. The male left the Mankhalung mountain and entered the underground forest of Chichila. A man who went to the forest of Chichila to look for a rooster saw a rooster sitting on a tall tree. He happily planted lizards and nets on many trees in the forest. He pushed the cock to catch it. The rooster had already found out that he was trying to catch himself.
So the frightened rooster rushed to the river Arun. Arun's water flew upwards towards Saptakoshi near Khuwalung and landed on a big rock of Bagar. A third man was sailing around Saptakoshi to see if there was a rooster. He saw a rooster perched on a rock nearby. The rooster was very scared. Suspiciously, Kwank was looking around. He realized that the rooster was scared. So I didn't rush to Lisopaso. Instead, he pulled out his flute and began to play. The rooster began to play the flute. When he got tired of playing the flute, he started singing in Hakpare Vaka. I was very impressed by the melody of the male flute and the Hakpare song. She did not run away. I stood on the rock and listened. He calmed down and began to spend the day boating in the river, playing the flute and singing hakpare.
He had also secretly taken the fodder from the palace. He sprinkled the bait on the bag. The rooster began to pick fodder. The man didn't know anything, so he started playing the flute and walking around. Thus, after two or three days, the rooster became attracted to the man. Six days passed like this.
For six days, no one came in contact with the man. Seeing this, the king began to scatter in the palace. On the seventh day, the people who had gone to Mankhalung Himal and Chichila forest in search of roosters returned empty-handed. The king was very disappointed to see them return empty-handed. It was getting late. The sweet sound of the flute was heard at some distance from the palace. Everyone looked out on the hill. A man was walking towards Saptakoshi to catch a rooster, playing a flute. The rooster was sitting on his shoulder. Gradually the man came to the courtyard of the palace. He handed the rooster over to the king. Everyone was surprised.
The king asked the man who had brought the rooster, “The lisopaso you took is the same as everything else. You haven't even untied the net. Instead, you brought the rooster on your shoulder without doing anything. How was that possible? "The man said humbly," I saw this bird scare me, and I knew it could not be caught by snares, traps, and chases. So I played the flute.
While singing, I started giving it my favorite fodder. I started to like it. Gradually this rooster got closer to me. Later it came to my head and started to sit. That's how it got here. You can't make anyone your own by reprimanding them and chasing them away. Sweet words, words and deeds can impress everyone. This is the only way to make life happy. That is all I have done and understood. ”The king was very pleased to hear the man's words and made him his commander.
