The story of Bodhisattva

 The story of Bodhisattva

This is before Lord Buddha was born. A wealthy man lived in a village in the hilly region of Nepal.

This is before Lord Buddha was born.  A wealthy man lived in a village in the hilly region of Nepal.  A baby was born in her home.  The baby was named Bodhisattva.  Infant Bodhisattva grew.  He never got into fights with his friends.  He never said bad things to anyone.  Gradually, it was time to introduce him to the alphabet.  Guru was surprised to see that he knew all the letters on the very first day.  He acquired all the necessary knowledge and knowledge at an early age.  His behavior was more unique than knowledge and learning.  He thought only of the good of others

The Bodhisattva became young but his mind never turned to home behavior.  He never succumbed to greed.  He never got angry because he did not have greed in his mind.  He had only kindness, love, affection, friendship and compassion in his heart.  His sole purpose was to guide mankind in the right way.  He always wanted everyone to have knowledge and happiness

Bodhisattvas were very saddened by the suffering of humans and animals.  He always meditated in his heart so that everyone would be happy.  So he was not touched by grief.  He was even stopped by violent animals around his place of residence.  Seeing this, many people began to respect him.  People started coming there to learn knowledge and meditation.  Due to his satsang, mutual animosity in the society was decreasing.  People began to value the interests of others more than themselves.  Happiness and peace began to spread in the society.  One day the Bodhisattva wanted to leave that place and go somewhere else.  He had a disciple named Ajit.  He was learning knowledge, meditation and behavior with Bodhisattva.  When he left the village, he was worried that Guru Bodhisattva would not take him.  It was at this point that he begged the Bodhisattva,

"O Bodhisattva! Compassion and mercy are immense

Hundreds of thousands of friendships and virtues.

 I always long to learn

I don't want to go to Lagnaos to learn. "

Bodhisattva thought that Ajit's mind was clean.  Thinking that it would be better to teach such disciples knowledge, he decided to bring them along.  Guruchela reached the forest east of Dhulikhel in Kavre district.  That place was so much fun.  Being solitary, it was suitable for meditation.  While walking around, a cave was found there.  An old woman was lying at the mouth of the cave.  Nearby, two newborns were trying to suckle their mother's milk.  The midwife was hungry and very weak.  She was unable to walk.  She was dying without food.  Damruhs used to go near their mother fighting for milk.  She would sneeze and sneer at them.  She could not move because of hunger.

Bodhisattva and Ajit saw this sad scene.  Compassion awoke in the Bodhisattva.  She is Damru and Badhini

Seeing the plight of both, they began to shake.  Gentlemen can bear their own sorrows but cannot see the sorrows of others.  Both of them came face to face with a damru baghini.  Seeing that, Baghini started pulling the hair out of her mouth.  Now the Bodhisattva understood that this Badhini was going to eat her own child.  He was very sad.  He thought to himself, "It is said that in the world

Sons are born but not sons.

Here, Kumata's behavior began to show. "

With that in mind, he began to try to keep the drums away from his mother.  The Bodhisattva said to his disciple Ajit, “Look, father, what misery there is in the world.  The mother is ready to eat her own child by breaking her love for her child.  Even an animal

Does not violate your dignity.  Here this lady is defeated by hunger.  If it eats that child, it becomes a sister of sin.  So go, find an animal somewhere in the forest or find it soon.

Until then, I will confuse these damsels. ”  Ajit walked away wanting.  Here the Bodhisattva thought, “It is difficult to find a dead animal.  You don't even have to kill one animal to save another, what do you do? ”  He thought, "Instead, I have to see how old I am."  Meditating deeply, the Bodhisattva saw his death approaching.  When he found out, he was relieved and happy.  If death is near, why not make your own body its food?  My body gets enough food for a few days for this.  With that thought, he decided to surrender to his sister without returning.  He had developed a habit of doing good to others.

So he was not afraid of death.

He never panicked.  He was praying in the heart of the cave, “Let the woman get food from this body of mine.  Quench your hunger and let go of your child's desire to eat.  Let mankind learn to rejoice in the same way, regardless of their own suffering. ”  Praying so much in his heart, he dedicated his body to Baghini.  Baghini was happy to see the prey in front of her and started eating.  Went to the mouth

Immediately the Bodhisattva died.  Tamseki Badhini and her child survived to starve to death.  At that time, flowers rained down from the sky.  Blessed Bodhisattva by gods, demons, Gandharvas, etc.!  Blessed be your mercy!  Saying Jai cheered.  Ajit returned after finding no food for his wife in the forest.  At that time, Baghini was eating meat.  Ajit realized that she had eaten the Bodhisattva.

Ajit's mind was sad at first, but when he remembered the Guru's teachings and behavior, he suddenly said, "Blessed is the renunciation of Bodhisattva."  He bowed to the Bodhisattva in his heart and walked from there to the village. Ajit came to the village and told his friends about the Bodhisattva.  The villagers and the Bodhisattvas

Devotees went to see the cave.  Baghini was there, she had run away with Damru.  Bodhisattva bones are scattered at the mouth of the cave.  The disciples thought, "The bones of such a renounced Mahatma are sacred and revered."  With that in mind, everyone collected the bones and dug a hole.  He built a tall stupa of stone and clay.  They worshiped with respect by offering flowers immediately.  Of Bodhisattva

This place with stupa is called Namobuddha today.  In the Tamang language, this place is called 'Tagmo Lujin'.  This place is just east of Dhulikhel.  Buddhists consider this place a sacred place of pilgrimage.  Buddhist tourists from home and abroad pay their respects here.  It is said that the Bodhisattva went to heaven after his death because of his many philanthropic deeds in life.  In the next birth he was born as Siddhartha Gautam.  The same Siddhartha later became a Buddha and showed the world the way to peace.  This story of Bodhisattva is known as Vyaghi Jatak under the Buddhist scripture Jatak Mala.
